Hands-On Learning Programs for Preschoolers

The Secret Garden Preschool offers a nurturing and supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and really blossom.

With our focus on social and emotional growth as well as community, the Secret Garden Preschool offers many opportunities for our students to become good citizens as well as good students. Through hands-on learning, children are encouraged to explore and use their imaginations. The curriculum is rich with art, science, music, dance, literature, math and is balanced with opportunities for child-directed play.

We offer educational programs for children 2 1/2 to 6 years of age in Threes, Fours, and Pre K Classes.

Celebrating Over 20 Years of Wonderful Children, Families, and Community!

Both of our kids discovered their love of learning at Secret Garden. A hidden gem among Seattle’s independent preschools. For parents planning on applying to an independent elementary school, Secret Garden is a great feeder school into many of the most competitive private schools.

My son has had a beautiful transition into preschool at this school and I'm excited for him to continue.

My son just finished his first year here and he loved every bit of it and I loved how much it matched my own preschool experience (which was Montessori, this isn't, but is very similar with a bit more structure).

Community

Community

The Secret Garden Preschool regards community spirit as an important goal of its program. Helping one another as well as others in our community is important to our teachers and it is also a part of our curriculum.

In past years, we have helped several local agencies such as Childhaven, Rise Above the Reef, Heritage House Senior Center in the Pike Place Market, Water 1st International, Boyer Children's Clinic, Write Around the World and Northwest Harvest with food bank donations, Valentine delivery, winter donations, and other fun activities. We want the children in our school community to understand the value of giving and helping others.
